Biography
In 1992, Prof. Rondanelli graduated at the Medical School at the University of pavia (110/110, cum laude) debating a thesis on : “Modern approach for the management of malnutrition in AIDS patients”. In 1998: she post-graduated at the Endocrinology School of Specialization of the University of Pavia debating a thesis on “Endocrinological and nutritional alterations in HIV positive children”. And in 2001, she post-graduated at the School of Specialization on Human Nutrition of the University of Milan debating a thesis on “ Prospective study of the metabolic and nutritional status of elderly patients with Alzheimer disease”.
In 2007 Prof. Rondanelli post-graduated at the School of Specialization on Hygiene and Preventive Medicine of the University of Pavia debating a thesis on “Focus on omega 3 fatty acids for prevention of dementia in elderly population”, and she completed the Research Doctorate on Medical Physiopathology and Therapy at the University of Pavia in 2004 debating a thesis on “Evaluation of the nutritional status and of the oxidative balance in young versus elderly subjects”.
In 2002, she won the Competition for a University Chair of Associated Professor – MED 49 Clinical Nutrition – at the University of Sassari; and she became Associated Professor of Clinical Nutrition at the University of Pavia in 2007.
