Biography

  • Professor and Chair of the Department of Paediatrics at the Medical University of Warsaw.
  • Chair of the Council of Medical Sciences at the Medical University of Warsaw.
  • Member of the Board of Directors of the International Scientific Association for Probiotics and Prebiotics (ISAPP).
  • Previously, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition; General Secretary of the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN); and Secretary of the ESPGHAN Committee on Nutrition.
  • Research interests: gut microbiota modifications using various biotics. pediatric nutrition, early nutritional interventions’ effects on later outcomes (especially food allergy).
  • Active involvement in European Union-funded research projects.
